Why you should use Swisspacer in windows and façades

Swisspacer products are among the warm edge spacer bars with the lowest thermal conductivity on the market, delivering outstanding living comfort. Swisspacer is a small but effective component that significantly improves the energy efficiency of windows and façades. Moreover, Swisspacer impresses with its excellent look and first-class CO2 footprint.

The energy requirements for windows and façades are constantly growing and developers find themselves confronted with sharply rising energy prices. Using energy-efficient components for new builds and renovations is therefore undoubtedly a good idea. Swisspacer spacer bars have an excellent insulating effect, as proved by official measurements of ift Rosenheim for the Arbeitskreis “Warme Kante” (Warm Edge working group). The specific figures for the equivalent thermal conductivity can be found in the corresponding data sheets of Bundesverband Flachglas. Swisspacer is also reliably gas-tight and water vapour-tight. Well processed insulating glass panes with Swisspacer therefore save energy over the entire lifespan of windows and façades.

Excellent thermal protection as well as aesthetic factors matter in construction projects. This is where Swisspacer offers the widest choice of colours on the market and impresses in terms of appearance with its high-quality design. A window fitted with Swisspacer also makes a high-quality impression through the particular stability of the spacer bar profiles, which ensures perfectly straight and parallel frames in windows and façades.

SWISSPACER Colours

Colour and appearance offer attractive design possibilities

Little details are also important! Swisspacer offers you 17 colours for warm edge spacer bars - the biggest choice on the market. So you can create a colourfully harmonious overall impression of the window or deliberately choose a colour accent.

Energy savings even for large construction depths

Some applications require greater construction depths and thus very wide cavities between the panes. The Swisspacer ULTIMATE with a width of 32 mm or 36 mm is the solution!

The solution for larger construction depths:
spacer bars with a width of up to 36 mm

There are various applications that require larger cavities between the panes; examples are windows with internal blinds or full-size house door units. The ULTIMATE spacer bar is available in a width of 32 mm or 36 mm. Heating energy can be reduced, living comfort increased and sustainable solutions implemented for such applications as well.

Perfect look instead of piecemeal approach

For large construction depths, manufacturers often combine two narrow spacer bars to achieve the necessary dimension. Using an extra-wide Swisspacer ULTIMATE is much faster and easier – and at the same time ensures an appealing aesthetic, such as in the house door unit. Because Swisspacer spacer bars have a matt surface free from metallic reflections. Depending on the architect’s design requirements, glass elements blend harmoniously with the architecture or offer exciting counterpoints to it.

Pressure relief with Swisspacer AIR

Large cavities between the panes and unfavourable aspect ratios of the panes – as found in full-size house door units, for example – increase the risk of glass breakage from climate loads. Swisspacer AIR equalises the pressure to offer a high level of safety for such applications.

Lower the CO2 footprint with Swisspacer

Sustainability certifications are becoming increasingly important in your construction projects. EPDs of building products offer transparent data for the building evaluation.

SWISSPACER calculation tool Caluwin

CALUWIN – The energy-saving program

With our free calculation program, you can easily determine the energy savings for a wide range of window designs. Because this tool lets you quickly and precisely calculate the UW value for various frames, glazing units and spacer bars. It also shows for different climate zones whether condensation forms on the glass edge and thus poses of risk of mould forming. Furthermore, the potential to save on heating costs and reduce CO2 emissions can be also be identified.

CALUWIN contains data from a large number of brand manufacturers of window profiles as well as various glass units and options for the glazing edge. The tool is certified according to guideline WA-05/2 of ift Rosenheim. Furthermore, it can be used to calculate a range of international Window Energy Ratings (e.g. BFRC (UK) and Passive House efficiency classes.

CALUWIN is also available as an app for iOS and Android devices.
