Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)
Rising from the sloping banks of the Tigris River in Baghdad, the design for the new headquarters of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) conveys the core values at the heart of the institution: Solidity, stability and sustainability – among other things, by using the Swisspacer Ultimate spacer bar, which interrupts the thermal bridge in the glazing edge and reduces energy consumption and the costs for air conditioning the building. Thus, in warm climates, the conditioned air stays inside and the heat stays outside.
