Columbus Poort in Cascadepark, Almere Poort, consists of the landmark residential buildings Pinta and Niña, which together create a striking gateway between the Homeruskwartier and Cascadepark. The development comprises 36 luxury apartments, each featuring large sliding-door openings leading to spacious balconies with views over the park or waterfront.

The project incorporates high-performance HR++ double insulating glass supplied by Effector S.A., combining thermal insulation and solar control through COOL-LITE® SKN 165 glass and black Swisspacer warm edge spacers. The glazing achieves a Ug value of 1.0 W/m²K and a solar factor (g-value) of 0.34, helping to keep approximately two-thirds of solar heat outside and reducing the risk of overheating. The façade includes a range of specialist glazing solutions, including laminated safety glass, toughened safety glass, enamelled glass and fire-resistant glass.

The black Swisspacer warm edge spacer further enhances the thermal performance of the insulating glass units, contributing to improved energy efficiency, indoor comfort and the clean, contemporary appearance of the buildings.
