Swisspacer has been shaping warm edge technology for more than two decades. From spacer bars and glazing bars to complementary technologies, automation solutions and services, Swisspacer supports the insulating glass industry with solutions that combine technical precision, efficiency and reliability.
At the edge of insulating glass, details matter. Swisspacer warm edge spacers are designed to minimise thermal losses at the glass edge, contributing to low Uw values for windows and façades. By reducing heat transfer and preventing condensation at the edge of the glass, they improve energy efficiency, thermal comfort and indoor hygiene - supporting durable, high-performance building envelopes.
Energy efficiency has been at the core of Swisspacer’s product philosophy from the very beginning. At the same time, responsibility for resources and emissions is an integral part of product development. Swisspacer provides transparent environmental data, including Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) according to EN 15804+A2, enabling customers and partners to meet regulatory requirements, certification criteria and sustainability targets. Continuous data collection also supports the ongoing reduction of product and corporate emissions.

Matthias Bach, CEO

Since joining Swisspacer in 2015, Matthias Bach has played a key role in establishing the sites in England and France and has doubled production capacity by restructuring and introducing automation and innovative logistics. Originally starting as a Project Leader in Supply Chain, he became Technical Director of Swisspacer in 2017. With his background as a Master in Industrial Engineering and an Executive MBA, he has been CEO since 2023. His focus is on innovation, quality and customer proximity to strengthen Swisspacer's global position.
Marie Guin, Head of R&D
"Innovation is essential to Swisspacer's success in developing sustainable solutions within the Saint-Gobain Group. We strive to recognize the pains and needs of our customers and integrate them into our R&D processes."
Marie Guin holds a master's degree in chemical engineering with a focus on process engineering and has three years of experience in recycling heavy metals for solar panels. After completing her PhD in materials science with a focus on battery materials, she joined Saint-Gobain in 2016. There she started as a team leader in the chemical laboratory and since December 2022 has been working as an R&D and Innovation Partner for Swisspacer, where she works closely with customers and partners, focusing on sustainability and impact in all projects.
Julien Thiery, Sales & Marketing Director

Julien Thiery has been Marketing & Sales Director at Swisspacer since May 2026. He leads the company’s marketing and sales activities with a strong focus on customer proximity, market development and solutions that respond to real customer needs. Drawing on broad Saint-Gobain experience in marketing, communications, innovation, digitalisation, IT, R&D and business development, he brings a cross-functional perspective to the role. At Swisspacer, he works with the team to strengthen customer relationships, create tangible value for partners and support the company’s international growth.
Michael Stiel, CFO

Michael Stiel acquired extensive expertise in the areas of risk management and corporate management during his time as a senior consultant at one of Big Four accounting firms. After joining the Saint-Gobain Group in 2008, he initially used this knowledge to strengthen the organizational structure for corporate management within Saint-Gobain. In 2011, he took over the position of CFO at Swisspacer and has since played a key role in shaping the financial direction of the company.
Dariusz Lewandowski, Head of Operations

Dariusz Lewandowski has been Plant Manager at Swisspacer since 2022 and Head of Operations since fall 2023, where he is responsible for all of the company's production sites. He was previously employed as WCM Manager at Saint-Gobain Glass Poland. He has various experience in senior positions, including Production Engineering Manager and Factory Innovation Deputy Manager. He started his professional career as a Production Engineer after completing his Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering at AGH University of Krakow.
Daniel Houben, Head of Technology & Industrial Projects

Daniel Houben has held various positions at Swisspacer since 2016. In his position as Head of Supply Chain and Technology, he benefits from his extensive experience within the company in the area of supply chain. The interdisciplinary background of his master's degree in industrial engineering with a focus on production technology complements his technical expertise and focus on efficient production and purchasing processes.
